Let's find some funding starting points

Your possible funding routes

Initial guidance · not an eligibility decision
England · Homeowner · Not sure yet

Here are three routes worth exploring. We haven't checked your income, EPC or existing heating, so none is a confirmed match.

GRANT · Check conditions

Warm Homes: Local Grant

Potentially fully funded

Qualifying households could receive council-arranged energy improvements, such as insulation, heating or solar panels, at no cost to the eligible owner-occupier.

Still to check: EPC D–G, household income or benefits / qualifying postcode, council funding.

Available in England for eligible privately owned homes. Council approval and survey required.

GRANT · Check conditions

Boiler Upgrade Scheme

£7,500 standard grant

Support for eligible air-to-water and ground-source heat pump installations. A higher £9,000 amount applies to certain qualifying off-grid oil/LPG replacements.

Still to check: Your current heating, property type, heat-pump suitability and approved installer.

Different amounts apply to qualifying air-to-air systems (£2,500) and biomass systems (£5,000). The installer applies.

GOVERNMENT-BACKED LOAN · Not a grant

Warm Homes Loan Scheme

Up to £15,000

Illustrative maximum loan support for solar panels or a home battery. Loans spread the cost and must be repaid.

Still to check: Your planned improvements, property eligibility, participating lender, credit and affordability conditions.

Rates, terms and repayments vary. Do not treat the maximum as your approved amount.
